Canadian Hells Angels offered deals

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, May 5 (UPI) -- Canadian prosecutors say they are ready to go easy on Hells Angels members and associates caught in a drug sting operation if they are willing to plead guilty.

Winnipeg Free Press reported Wednesday the cases of five of the 31 bikers arrested in last December's "Project Divide" have been resolved and prosecutors says it's time for the rest to fish or cut bait.

"The Crown, at this early juncture, is prepared to recommend lenient sentences for those willing to plead guilty," federal prosecutor Chris Mainella told the court in Winnipeg Tuesday when one defendant was given three years in prison and another four years. "But at some point, just like the children's game, the music will stop and people are going to be left standing."
