YAMAI, China, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- A Chinese man allegedly killed five people and injured two others Sunday when he broke into his girlfriend's home, officials said.

The suspect, who was identified only by his surname, Shi, allegedly killed whomever he happened to meet when he entered the home in Yamai, a village in Maonan Autonomous County of Huanjiang, in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region China, Xinhua reported.

The girlfriend's family disapproved of the relationship, the news agency reported.

Three hundred police were searching a mountain, and cars were being inspected at road blocks for the suspect.
