BELGRADE, Serbia, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- The European Union is moving quickly on a decision to drop a requirement for Serbs to obtain EU travel visas, a Belgrade official says.

Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said Tuesday the EU decision will come on Nov. 30 or Dec. 1 and be put into force Dec. 19, Tanjug reported.

Dacic said the move came at Tuesday's joint meeting of the Council of Europe committee for the Western Balkans, organized to discuss Serbia's progress in meeting EU requirements for its visa liberalization "roadmap."

The Brussels meeting ended with the conclusion Serbia had made progress in all four key areas related to visa liberalization, Tanjug said.
