Suspect arrested in attack on Israel

SIDON, Lebanon, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Lebanese troops have arrested a suspect in a rocket attack on northern Israel and dismantled four rockets ready for launch, officials said Saturday.

The suspect, Fadi Ibrahim, allegedly belongs to Fatah al-Islam, a radical Sunni Muslim group linked to al-Qaida, Haaretz reported. Ibrahim was arrested Friday at the Ein el Hilweh refugee camp near Sidon.

His detention came two days after a Katyusha rocket was launched from Lebanon into northern Israel. The rocket caused no casualties but raised tensions along the border, the BBC reported. It was the fourth time this year rockets have been fired from Lebanon into Israel.

Lebanese troops Wednesday found and dismantled four unfired rockets in Lebanon, all of them suspected of belonging to Ibrahim and his followers, the Lebanese daily As-Safir reported.
