CALGARY, Alberta, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Police in Calgary, Alberta, are saying little about the discovery of three dead, plastic-wrapped newborns and a 27-year-old woman in a suburban house.
At a news conference Thursday, police said emergency crews were called to the house Sunday by the husband of the woman who said she had no vital signs, the Calgary Sun reported.
Inspector Rob Williams said the bodies of the newborns were later found hidden around the house.
The woman's death is not considered suspicious, but after autopsies, the infants' deaths are, he said.
"No further details about this case will be released until tests are completed and the investigation progresses," Williams said. "Further testing is being done to determine a cause of death -- this kind of testing can take weeks or even months."
Williams didn't divulge why it took four days for the investigation to be announced.
