A shooting in the parking lot of a Jersey Shore restaurant left one woman in critical but stable condition Tuesday morning.

The unidentified 35-year-old woman was shot outside the Sand Bar restaurant at Arnold's Brielle Yacht Club and taken to a hospital just before 1 a.m. Tuesday. No one had yet been taken into custody by 12:30 p.m., and an investigation was ongoing, the prosecutor's office spokesman Charles Webster said.

A law enforcement official confirmed Tuesday afternoon the suspect had barricaded himself in a house in Bay Point Harbor.

The victim remained hospitalized Tuesday afternoon.
