NEW YORK, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- A sister of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects was jailed Tuesday, accused of threatening to blow up an ex-girlfriend of her boyfriend's.

Ailina Tsarnaeva, 24, of North Bergen, N.J., is charged in New York with aggravated harassment. A criminal complaint accuses her of making a phone call Aug. 25 in which she tells the woman, "Leave my man alone. Stop looking for him. I have people. I know people that can put a bomb where you live."

Tsarnaeva's brothers, Dzokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, are suspected of setting off two backpack bombs at the Boston Marathon finish line on April 15, 2013, killing three people and injuring more than 260.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, was killed days later in a confrontation with police. The brothers are also accused of killing an officer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Dzokhar Tsarnaev, 21, is awaiting trial.

Their sister's lawyer, Susan Marcus, said the claims against Tsarnaeva, a mother of two, are uncorroborated.

"My client is an easy target," she said.

A judge set bail at $5,000 and renewed an order of protection for the other woman.

Tsarnaeva also has an ongoing case in Massachusetts, where prosecutors said she failed to cooperate with a 2010 counterfeiting investigation.
