BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Playboy Magazine has unveiled its annual list of top party schools of 2014 and gave the highest honor to an Ivy League school: University of Pennsylvania.

The university, also known as UPenn, was named the No. 1 party school of the year because of its "notorious underground frat scene" and rampant "casual sex" as "coeds value careers over coupling."

University of Wisconsin came in second place because of its "tailgating scene" and nightlife options, which "are limited only by your ability to drink away the freeze," according to the magazine. University of Virginia came in third place for its "raging" bar and house-party scene followed by University of Arizona, which came in fourth place because of its students' expertise "in that wonderful combination of hydration, inebriation and sartorial minimalism otherwise known as the pool party."

University of Iowa completes the list's top five because of its "commitment to partying" even in its "shatteringly cold winters" and "sweltering humidity" in the summer.

University of California Santa Cruz, University of Miami, Colorado State University, University of Texas and Syracuse University round out the list's top 10 spots.
