Dreyfoos custodian sought in double homicide

June 20 (UPI) -- Authorities in Florida have initiated a state and nationwide search for a custodian at Dreyfoos School of the Arts in connection with the murder of two co-workers.

West Palm Beach police said Thursday morning that Javier Burgos, 53, is a "person of interest" in the shooting deaths of fellow Dreyfoos custodians Ted Orama, 56, and Christopher Marshall, 48.

Police said he is wanted because "he is the only one unaccounted for," though a source told The Palm Beach Post that Burgos is considered a suspect by police.

Burgos was supposed to work at the school Wednesday, when the bodies were discovered, and Thursday, but has not shown up.

Burgos, who is 5-foot-4 and 180 pounds, is driving a silver Toyota. Police advise "extreme caution" in dealing with Burgos, who they say is depressed and has multiple weapons.

Orama, the head janitor, was hired by the Palm Beach County school district in March 1993, and Marshall was hired in August 2005. Burgos started at Dreyfoos in 2010.
