PESHAWAR, Pakistan, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Several parked vehicles used for carrying supplies to NATO troops in Afghanistan were torched by militants in northwest Pakistan, police said Friday.

A fuel tanker and four other trucks parked near the city of Peshawar, were destroyed in the overnight attack by about 20 gunmen, the BBC reported.

Such attacks have become common along the Pakistani routes used for transporting supplies to U.S. and NATO troops in Afghanistan.
