COULTERVILLE, Ill., Oct. 7 (UPI) -- An Illinois man shot and killed his mother- and father-in-law after a dispute with his wife, and then took his own life, police said.
Brian Morrison, 35, of Coulterville, Ill., shot Tamara Carroll, 46, and Stanley Garbs, 52, of Marissa, Ill., Saturday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Tuesday.
Carroll and Garbs were the parents of Morrison's wife, Misti Morrison, the Randolph County Sheriff's Department said. Misti Morrison had called her parents to come for her children after a dispute with her husband in the family's home, but the situation grew worse after the in-laws arrived, leading to their slaying in the driveway of the home, the newspaper reported.
After Brian Morrison shot her parents, Misti Morrison called 911. Her husband then shot and killed himself, police said.
Misti Morrison and her children were not harmed, police said.
