NEW YORK, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Veteran Gambino crime family associate John Alite testified that reputed New York mobster John A. (Junior) Gotti collaborated with him on three killings.
Alite testified in Gotti's federal racketeering and murder trial that among the killings allegedly perpetrated by Gotti was the 1988 killing of informant Wilfred (Willie Boy) Johnson, the New York Daily News reported Wednesday.
In addition to linking Gotti, 45, to three killings, Alite testified in U.S. District Court in New York Tuesday the reputed mob boss detailed four additional killings to him.
Among the killings Gotti allegedly confided about was the 1983 killing of Daniel Silva, Alite alleged.
The Daily News said Alite and Gotti were once close friends with Alite asking Gotti to serve as best man in his wedding. Yet since he began providing authorities with evidence in 2007, Alite has implicated Gotti in a number of crimes and claimed to have had an affair with Gotti's sister, Victoria.
Gotti's father, mob boss John J. Gotti, died in prison in 2002.
