World Leaders Gather For G20 Summit In Pittsburgh

MILAN, Italy, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Italy's prime minister has made another gibe about U.S. President Barack Obama's skin color, this time including the first lady, Michelle, authorities said.

Silvio Berlusconi reportedly made the remarks at a rally of supporters in Milan after his return last week from the G20 summit in Pittsburgh, The Times of London reported Monday.

Berlusconi said he brought greetings from "What's his name? Some tanned guy. Ah, Barack Obama!"

"You won't believe it," Berlusconi reportedly told supporters "but two of them sunbathe together, because the wife is also tanned."

When Obama was elected in November, Berlusconi reportedly said the newly elected president was "young, handsome, and even has a good tan".

Berlusconi, who turns 73 Tuesday, also commented at the rally on Obama's use of a teleprompter for speeches and news conferences.

"He's not reckless like those of us who say what comes to mind," Berlusconi said. "We all asked ourselves: 'Does he know what he's doing, or is he just someone who knows how to read well?'"
