Anarchist group linked to Athens bombing

ATHENS, Greece, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Four suspected members of a militant anarchist group have been arrested for allegedly bombing a home in Athens, Greece, sources told Kathimerini.

The Athens newspaper reported Friday that, according to unidentified sources, the four suspects in the bombing of the home of Panhellenic Socialist Movement official Louka Katseli may be members of Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire.

The sources said the unidentified suspects, all between the ages of 19 and 21, were taken into custody after Wednesday's bombing, which caused no injuries.

The suspects were linked to the anarchist group by evidence found at the home of two of the alleged terrorists, Kathimerini reported.

Also allegedly found in the home in the Athens district of Halandri were an unspecified amount of explosives and a homemade explosive device similar to the bomb used in the attack on Katseli's home.

Kathimerini said following the arrests, nearly 500 self-styled anarchists demonstrated Thursday night in Athens. While stones were thrown at a local police station, no arrests or injuries were reported.
