STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Swedish parliament computers were used to alter entries on Wikipedia, including one change that called actor George Clooney a "communist," authorities said.
In all, 55 changes to the Swedish version of Wikipedia, an online encyclopedia, were traced to computers in parliament and to those in the offices of Swedish political parties, the Swedish news agency TT reported Tuesday. Most of the changes made during business hours.
Clooney was called a "communist amateur" and Swedish soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic was labeled "brash and arrogant," sources within the parliament told TV8. Swedish actress and comedian Nour El-Refai was referred to as a "feminist (expletive)."
Changes traced to computers within Swedish political parties included the removal of data, rather than the addition of false information, TT reported.
An article on the Left Party's youth wing inflating its membership statistics was removed, along with information on Christian Democratic politician Ella Bohlin's past membership in Word of Life, a conservative evangelical group.
