BOGOTA, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- A woman who allegedly served as the head quartermaster for the FARC guerrillas in Colombia was extradited Saturday to the United States.
Nancy Conde Rubio, 37, who used the nom de guerre Doris Adriana, is accused of conspiring to supply the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, the Latin American Herald-Tribune reported. She is the former girlfriend of Gerardo Antonio Aguilar, or Cesar, who was arrested last year in an operation that freed 15 FARC hostages, including politician Ingrid Betancourt and three U.S. contractors..
An accused drug kingpin, Gildardo Rodriguez Herrera, and eight other people accused of drug trafficking were also extradited.
Conde was arrested in Cucuta in northeastern Colombia in February. In a recent interview with RCN Radio, she said extradition would be "unjust" and said it was being done only because of her relationship with Aguilar.
