OTTAWA, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper's office announced he will meet Wednesday with U.S. President Barack Obama in Washington.

A statement said Harper and Obama will discuss economic recovery measures, the upcoming Group of 20 summit in Pittsburgh, and "international security challenges."

Harper will be accompanied by three cabinet ministers -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Lawrence Cannon, Minister of the Environment Jim Prentice and Minister of Public Safety Peter Van Loan.

Meetings also were scheduled for Harper with the leaders Congress and the Senate, the release said.

Harper is scheduled to be in New York Thursday to address the Canadian-American Business Council and the Canadian Association of New York.
