COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- The parents of a runaway Ohio teen who says her father will kill her for becoming a Christian charge the girl is "incorrigible."

In a complaint filed this week in Columbus, Mohamed Bary and his wife say their daughter, Fathima Rifqa, 17, cut school and disappeared from home before she took a bus to Orlando, Fla., in July, The Columbus Dispatch reported. They describe her as an "incorrigible" minor.

A teenager says she ran away from her parents in Ohio because her Muslim father would kill her for her religious conversion.

Rifqa is now living in a foster home in Florida. A judge there ruled he had jurisdiction in the case because her parents had not filed any legal action in Ohio. The parents filed legal papers Tuesday..

The teen's lawyer has asked Florida's 9th Judicial Circuit Court to seal a report by the state Department of Law Enforcement on her welfare.
