WASHINGTON, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Andrew Card, former President George W. Bush's chief of staff, is considering seeking the U.S. Senate seat of the late Ted Kennedy, an adviser says.

Massachusetts Republicans are pushing Card to enter the race for the special election Jan. 19 though Democrats likely will be favored, Ron Kaufman, former state GOP committeeman, told the Politico.
