Teen OK after falling into fake lion's den

BOSTON, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- A teenager escaped with only minor injuries Wednesday when he fell 15 feet into a moat while trying to climb into a movie set at a Boston zoo, officials said.

The 16-year-old boy apparently was trying to climb into a fake lion's den – part of the set for "The Zookeeper" -- when he fell about 3:30 p.m., Justine Griffin, a spokeswoman for the Franklin Park Zoo, told the Boston Globe.

The moat surrounds a former gorilla enclosure, transformed to look like a lion's den for the movie, starring Kevin James. No animals were in the enclosure at the time, Griffin said.

The boy, who was not identified, was taken to Boston Medical Center.
