HONG KONG, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is set to make her first speech outside North America in Hong Kong, officials said Monday.
Last year's U.S. Republican vice presidential nominee is scheduled to speak at the 16th CLSA Investors' Forum Sept. 21-25 in Hong Kong, the international brokerage Credit Lyonnaise Securities Asia-Pacific Markets said.
The firm said Palin will address CLSA clients and delegates in a keynote speech, joining a list of other speakers including former U.S. President Bill Clinton, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and former Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan.
"As the first female governor of Alaska and the youngest person ever elected governor of that state, Palin has broken new ground in U.S. politics and we are delighted that she will make her first visit to Asia to present at the CLSA Investors' Forum," CLSA chairman and chief executive Jonathan Slone said in the release.
