SEATTLE, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- A two-run homer in the 10th inning by Ryan Langerhans lifted the Seattle Mariners to a 4-2 win over the Oakland Athletics Tuesday.

Langerhans connected off Craig Breslow (5-7) after Franklin Gutierrez singled with one out.

Mark Lowe (2-6) pitched the 10th to get the win.

Russell Branyan had a solo home run for the Mariners in the second inning that tied the score 1-1.

Seattle had to scramble back in the eighth inning to tie the game. Gutierrez walked, stole second and scored on a fielding error by Adam Kennedy.

Kennedy drove in one Oakland run. Scott Hairston knocked in the other with one of his two hits.
