CHAMBERY, France, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Three suspected members of the Basque separatist group ETA linked to terrorist attacks in Spain were arrested Wednesday in France, a police source says.

An unidentified police source said the three terror suspects were captured by authorities in the French skiing resort of Le Corbier Villarambert, The Times of London reported online.

"They had no time to resist," the source said of the suspects, who reportedly were surprised by pre-dawn raids.

One suspect, Alberto Machain, is suspected in a bombing on the Spanish island of Majorca in July that killed two civil guard officers.

Another was Aitzol Etxaburu, suspected of killing Basque politician Isaias Carrasco in 2008.

The Times said the third suspect was identified as Andoni Sarasola, whose brother Mattin is accused of a 2007 bombing in Madrid that left two men dead.

Unidentified police sources told the British newspaper explosives and detonators found during the raids indicated the three suspects were allegedly preparing to conduct a terror attack.
