FENTON, Mo., Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Police say an LSD trip brought a honeymooning couple's hike in the Missouri woods to a premature ending that required a rescue operation.

St. Louis County Police told KTVI-TV in St. Louis, Mo., Wednesday that the 20-year-old Crestwood woman suffered a seizure after she and her husband of three days took the drug along a trail near Fenton.

The groom called for help Tuesday afternoon, saying his wife had fallen. Police said he later confessed they were doing drugs.

The predicament prompted a search by helicopter and horseback. The woman was taken to a hospital in serious condition, but she was expected to recover.
