"A post-mortem has been carried out by specialists at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Results suggest that it was a stillbirth of a baby boy," Detective Chief Inspector Paul Jervis said.

The BBC said two women in the county of Somerset found the body in belongings they had been asked to keep for an unidentified individual.

Police said a woman, whose identity was not reported, was questioned about the Aug. 1 discovery. That individual has since been released on bail.

The BBC said police were also seeking the mother of another baby whose body parts were found at a sewage facility near Hull. The age and gender of the second infant were unknown.
