DAYTON, Ohio, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Dayton, Ohio, police said they were still investigating a series of high-speed accidents on a city street that left two people dead and injured 10.

Officers told the Dayton Daily News that they had not concluded what triggered the crash, which some witnesses said might have started when one of the drivers experienced a medical problem.

Sgt. Bill Keller said the driver of a Chrysler was seen with his head thrown back as he careened for some five blocks along North Main Street before crashing.

Other witnesses reported the driver and a man in a Cadillac with whom he had collided were involved in a possible road-rage incident.

"We won't know until after the investigation," Keller said.

The drivers of the Chrysler and the Cadillac died in the multiple crashes despite the efforts of several bystanders.
