WARSAW, Poland, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Polish fire emergency services have to approve evacuation routes at Warsaw's Bemowo airport to green light U.S. pop star Madonna's concert, organizers say.
Organizers of the Madonna show Thursday filed papers with the general fire safety plan to the Warsaw fire emergency services seeking a final approval for the concert scheduled at Bemowo airport Aug. 15, Polish Radio said Thursday.
Warsaw's police, sanitary inspectorate and medical services have already approved the organizers' emergency plans for the concert.
Some Polish Roman Catholics have voiced their protests against the Madonna gig on the Catholic feast marking the Assumption of the Holly Virgin Mary, urging the authorities to ban what they claim are anti-Christian performances of an obscene singer.
