BARCELONA, Spain, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Passengers on a jetliner flying from London to Barcelona, Spain, were evacuated upon landing Sunday after smoke was detected on board, officials said.

The crew of the British Airways Boeing 757-200 reported smoke in the cabin and landed the aircraft in Barcelona about 25 minutes later, The Aviation Herald reported. The source of the smoke had not been determined, the Herald said.

British Airways officials told CNN no one suffered serious injuries during the emergency evacuation of Flight BA478. Emergency slides were used to evacuate the 176 passengers, two pilots and five cabin crew members.

Emergency crews were also on hand for the emergency incident. British Airways' engineering teams were to track down the source of the fumes.
