Princeton Review releases annual roster

PRINCETON, N.J., July 27 (UPI) -- College-bound students can find the best fit in the Princeton Review's new book, "The Best 371 Colleges," its author said at the book's release Monday.

Robert Franek, publisher of the Princeton Review, said all of the 371 schools are academically excellent, but a survey of 122,000 students at these schools allowed him to create a list of the best schools in 62 categories.

"We don't rank schools academically because our goal is to help students find and get into the best school for them. Instead, we tally 62 ranking lists based how students at these schools rated their campus experiences, plus ratings based on institutional data we collect on issues important to applicants. It's all about the fit," Franek said.

Among the findings of the survey: The best professors are at Davidson College, in North Carolina, the best financial aid is at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, the top party school is Pennsylvania State University and the most sober school is Brigham Young University in Utah.
