JAKARTA, July 23 (UPI) -- Indonesian police investigating last Friday's bombings of two hotels in Jakarta were questioning one of the wives of the prime suspect, her lawyer said.
The woman was detained Wednesday, CNN reported.
She is believed to be one of the wives of Noordin M. Top, a fugitive wanted in the hotels blasts as well as in the 2002 Bali bombings in which 200 people died and for masterminding other terrorist attacks.
Her lawyer Achmad Michdan, however, said she did not know she was married to Noordin, CNN said.
"She doesn't know that her husband was Noordin M. Top. She only knows him as a teacher for various Islamic boarding schools known as Abdul Halim," the lawyer was quoted as saying.
The lawyer said the woman was charged with obstruction of justice for withholding information but police have not confirmed her detention, the report said.
Achmad said the woman's mother and her two children also have been detained.
The bombings at Jakarta's Ritz-Carlton and the adjacent Marriott hotels killed nine people and wounded more than 50. No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Noordin, a Malaysian national, is believed to be the leader of a small splinter group of Jemaah Islamiyah, which is linked to al-Qaida.
