ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, July 18 (UPI) -- Five Taliban militants in a village in North Waziristan were killed Friday by what appeared to be a U.S. drone, Pakistani officials said.

Three people were reportedly injured, CNN said.

The Interior Ministry said a house being used as a Taliban stronghold and a vehicle parked outside were destroyed by a missile fired by an unmanned aircraft. The Political Agent Office described the house in the village of Garhiwam Bahadur Khel as a jihadist base.
