LONDON, July 17 (UPI) -- A pregnant woman who contracted H1N1 flu has died after giving birth prematurely at a London hospital, officials report.
The woman is one of the latest victims to die of the H1N1 virus, originally called swine flu, in Britain, The Times of London's Web site reported Friday.
Other recent victims are two adults, a 6-month-old baby and a 7-year-old boy.
Cherie Blair, the wife of former Prime Minister Tony Blair, was reported to be battling the virus, The Daily Mail said. Mrs. Blair, 54, was given the antiviral drug Tamiflu and told to stay in bed.
So far 29 people have died of the H1N1 virus in Britain but the government warns there could be as many as 65,000 deaths.
Britain's chief Medical Officer Sir Liam Donaldson has ordered the National Health Service to plan for a worst-case scenario of 350 deaths a day.
The government may delay the opening of school so children can be vaccinated.
