JAKARTA, July 16 (UPI) -- Explosions at two Jakarta luxury hotels Friday killed at least six people, Indonesian authorities said.

The explosions struck the Ritz-Carlton and the Marriott hotels in the Indonesian capital.

CNN, quoting witnesses, reported police had sealed off the area. The report said the explosion at the Ritz-Carlton blew out windows on the second floor and occurred within a few minutes of the explosion at the Marriott.

Details of the explosion at the Marriott were not immediately available.

An explosion at the Marriott Hotel in Jakarta killed 12 people in August 2003.
