ORLANDO, Fla., July 15 (UPI) -- Exactly one year after Florida toddler Caylee Marie Anthony was reported missing her mother Cindy sits in an Orange County jail cell awaiting trial.

The one-year anniversary of one of the most bizarre cases to rock Central Florida was marked Wednesday by relative quiet, The Orlando Sentinel reports.

Casey Anthony's first-degree murder trial isn't due to start until next January but a check-fraud case against the young mother could begin before then.

Anthony is accused in the slaying of her daughter whose skeletal remains were found in a wooded lot near the Anthony home five months after she was first reported missing on July 15, 2008.

The Sentinel says people from across the country have sent money to Anthony's jail account to provide her with snacks, candy bars and junk food.

She isn't allowed to receive visitors or take phone calls, the newspaper says.
