WARSAW, Poland, July 14 (UPI) -- Siberian customs officers detained a Pole as he attempted to smuggle a dinosaur egg and other contraband from Mongolia into Russia, Polish Radio said Tuesday.

In addition to the huge egg, Russian officers found a mammoth's tusk and a rock crystal in boxes in the unidentified man's car.

The man told customs officials he did not declare the items because he had no idea what was in the boxes, which he said a friend asked him to carry to Poland.

Russian prosecutors are investigating, the report said.
