Russia plans disposal of 2 nuclear subs

VLADIVOSTOK, Russia, July 10 (UPI) -- Russia announced Friday it will have disposed of two nuclear submarines by the middle of 2010.

The two subs were moved from the Primorsky Territory to Kamchatkam on the Dutch Transshelf vessel to begin the disposal process, Itar-Tass reported.

Both submarines served in the Pacific Fleet for more than 30 years and then for another 10 years were waiting for disposal at a Kamchatka bay.
