GREELEY, Colo., July 9 (UPI) -- A University of Northern Colorado professor has been charged with felony sexual exploitation of children and other charges, Greeley, Colo. police said.
Theater Professor Vance Fulkerson was charged Tuesday. Several of his students, past and present, claim school officials knew of complaints about inappropriate sexual conduct for nearly 20 years and took no action, The Denver Post reported Thursday.
A student staying at Fulkerson's house complained to police last week, saying he found a video camera in a bathroom that fed a television in Fulkerson's bedroom. Police said they found recorded tapes and DVDs in the bedroom, Greeley, Colo., police spokesman Sgt. Joe Tymkowych told the Post.
Fulkerson, 63, said he only taped consenting models and sold the tapes because he needed the money after declaring bankruptcy. A UNC senior who took voice lessons from Fulkerson said Fulkerson sent him to the bathroom to sing while urinating after telling him it would use the same muscles, and taped him without his consent, the newspaper said.
