Afghanistan bombing kills 25

KABUL, Afghanistan, July 9 (UPI) -- An explosives-laden truck blew up near Kabul, Afghanistan, Thursday, killing at least 25 people, officials said.

Twenty-one civilians, several of whom were students on their way to school, and four policemen were counted among the dead, with 10 others wounded, the interior ministry said.

A spokesman for the Logar province governor told CNN the attack appeared to have been aimed at NATO troops in the area though no injuries were reported among military personnel.
