LYUBIMETZ, Bulgaria, July 4 (UPI) -- A collision between two buses Saturday killed at least seven people near Lyubimetz, Bulgaria, police said.

The crash occurred on international road E-80 in southeastern Bulgaria when a smaller bus with German registration collided with a larger bus with Serbian registration, Sofia News Agency reported.

Seven Turkish residents, including a teenage girl, reportedly were killed on the smaller German bus. The driver of the larger Serbian bus and a 23-year-old passenger were hospitalized with broken legs, Novinite.com reported.

The crash allegedly occurred when the German bus, trying to pass another vehicle, pulled into the path of the oncoming Serbian bus, police said.
