DUBLIN, Ohio, July 2 (UPI) -- One person was killed and two injured when scaffolding at a construction site collapsed in Dublin, Ohio, officials say.
Wilbert Johnson, 52, was killed Wednesday while laying brick at the site for the new headquarters for IGS Energy, city spokesman Michael Racey told the Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch.
Fellow construction workers Brock Oldaker, 43, and Gary L. Rathburn, 49, were hurt. Rathburn suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and Oldaker was treated and released at a hospital.
The Dispatch and WBNS-TV, Columbus, reported the three construction workers fell varying distances of up to 30 feet when the scaffolding collapsed.
Racey said the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration will attempt to determine the cause of the accident.
