4 die in car-truck crash

VALDOSTA, Ga., July 2 (UPI) -- Four people were killed in a car-truck crash near Valdosta in South Georgia early Thursday, temporarily closing part of busy Interstate 75, police said.

The victims were not identified in early reports. Bryan Gunter, a spokesman for the Georgia Department of Transportation, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution the crash involved a passenger vehicle and a rental truck.

All southbound lanes of I-75 were closed through early morning hours.
