COLORADO SPRINGS, June 30 (UPI) -- No serious injuries were reported in a brawl between two high school girls softball teams in Colorado Springs, Colo., police said.

As many as 30 people, some allegedly armed with bats, were fighting in the parking lot of the Four Diamond Sports Complex when police responded to a 911 call for help Monday night, The Denver Post reported Tuesday.

The brawl between the Cheyenne Mountain and Wasson High School girls softball teams erupted after a player hit by a ball charged the pitcher's mound and was ejected from the game, police reports said.

A coach then began yelling and the umpire stopped the game, with the brawl ensuing in the parking lot a short time later.

No arrests were made, though police said they were considering charging one woman with third-degree assault.
