Plane crash kills two, injures girl

YAKIMA, Wash., June 29 (UPI) -- A plane crash in Yakima County, Wash., killed a pilot and his young son and critically injured the man's 5-year-old daughter, authorities said.

Justin Reed, 37, and his, Parrin, 13, died Sunday when their 1974 single-engine Cessna Skyhawk crashed near Rimrock Lake, The Yakima (Wash.) Herald-Republic reported Monday.

Reed's daughter, Julie, was airlifted to Seattle's Harborview Medical Center with head injuries and multiple fractures, authorities said.

The plane crashed about 3 p.m. Sunday near the east end of Rimrock Lake, about 40 miles west of Yakima, the Herald-Republic reported.
