ATHENS, Greece, June 25 (UPI) -- Greek police said they have detained 20 people, ranging in age from 20 to 56, on suspicion they were trading child pornography on the Internet.
Special police teams Wednesday arrested 20 members of a reported international ring of pedophiles, with 19 others still being sought, the Greek daily Kathimerini reported Thursday.
The police electronic crimes units in Athens and Thessaloniki spent three months, with help from German police, working to break the ring operating across Greece.
Police confiscated dozens of PC hard drives and DVDs from the suspects, who included a 56-year-old Briton, a navy officer, a school teacher and a school bus driver.
Greek police were investigating hints some of the videos and images were produced in Greece, Kathimerini said.
