Sexual predator charged with kiddie porn

SEATTLE, June 24 (UPI) -- An inmate at Washington state's facility for civilly committed sexual offenders faces federal child pornography possession charges, authorities say.

William Enright was transferred from the Special Commitment Center on McNeil Island to federal custody last week, The Seattle Times reported.

Investigators said he was found to be in possession of hundreds of pornographic images in 2005. State charges were dropped after a court found his room had been searched without a valid reason.

Enright, who has a long history of sexual offenses, including kidnapping and molesting children, has been held on McNeil Island since 2000.

Four other inmates at the facility have also been charged with child pornography.
