Passenger death forces plane to land

ST. JOHN'S, Newfoundland, June 22 (UPI) -- An Air France plane made an emergency stop in St. John's, Newfoundland, Monday because a passenger died.

The emergency landing was made about 2 a.m. at St. John's International Airport, where the 41-year-old man's body was taken off. The plane then resumed its flight from Montreal to Paris, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported.

The man's body was taken to the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's for an investigation by the province's medical examiner, CBC reported.

The name and nationality of the man had not been released.
