NYC residents escape building collapse

NEW YORK, June 22 (UPI) -- New York firefighters say there were only minor injuries in the collapse of a residential building in Brooklyn Sunday.

All of the residents of the four-story structure in the Fort Green neighborhood were accounted for, with at least four people hurt, fire department officials told CNN.

The cause of the collapse was under investigation Sunday. A spokeswoman for the New York Department of Buildings said the owner of the building had been cited in May after inspectors discovered several cracks in an exterior wall.
