The Orange-Osceoloa State Attorney's Office released the medical examiner's report on the skeletal remains found in a wooded area in Orlando near her grandparent's home, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
Also made public was a report from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, where scientists studied an old pizza and a decomposing squirrel. That was done because family members said the smell in Casey Anthony's car trunk might have come from either a forgotten pizza or a squirrel carcass.
Casey Anthony had already been charged with murder by the time her daughter's body was discovered. The medical examiner found roots growing through a Winnie the Pooh blanket, plastic bags and the bone that suggested the body had been dumped around the time Caylee was last seen.
No drugs were found in Caylee's body. The report found duct tape had been placed on her head while her body was still fresh or while she was alive.
The tests at Oak Ridge found pizza or a dead squirrel unlikely to be the source of odors and chemicals in the car trunk.
