Taliban leader captured in Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan, June 14 (UPI) -- A Taliban commander has been captured in Afghanistan by U.S.-led coalition forces, officials said Sunday.

KUNA reported the unnamed Taliban leader was killed in Paktika province Saturday. The suspect was believed to have ties to several attacks on coalition forces, the Kuwaiti news agency reported.

The Taliban leader was wounded by debris when forces gained entry into the compound in Sharan, KUNA reported.
