AUSTIN, Texas, June 10 (UPI) -- Activities for Texas Gov. Rick Perry Wednesday were canceled after Perry broke his right collarbone in a mountain biking accident, his office said.

The governor's office said Perry also suffered a minor abrasion Tuesday, but did not provide other details, the Austin American Statesman reported.

Perry and his family are living in a subdivision about 14 miles from downtown Austin so work can be done on the governor's mansion.
